Startime was founded and established by Rick Milner who wanted to give back to the community by sponsoring musical scholarship to youth-at-risk, through the Milner School of Music. Startime offers a variety of opportunities including record contract, production deals, referrals for legal consultations, private and group music lessons, and an array of workshops and seminars to enhance stage presence as well as behind the scenes.

Showcasing information Startime Talent Search sponsors showcases weekly. The participants on these showcases will have the opportunity to share their talent with the community as well as producers, managers, booking agents and major record labels.
Showcases are also an opportunity to enhance stage presence and performance techniques. Auditions are held weekly.
At showcases participants are judged on originality, performance image and sound.
Startime awards prizes at the season finale showcases usually occurring twice per year where all showcase winners are invited back to compete. Prizes can include a record contract, complimentary production demo,
